The weather today was gloomy but slightly warmer than yesterday. And warm days (58°F) mean one thing – explore and discover new spots! I knew I had to be on time if I wanted to have breakfast at Apotek 57. Based on what I read, the cafe gets busy, and it could be hard to get a seat. So I made it out of my hotel by 8 AM – after all, the best days (almost) always start with a few slices of freshly baked sourdough and cream butter and a cup of dripped coffee.

As I walked into the cafe, I bumped into the Founder and Creative Director of FRAMA / Apotek 57, Neils Strøyer Christopherson. I was surprised to have seen him and didn’t hesitate to introduce myself. Upon his inquiry, I told him that I was visiting from New York City. We had a quick chat, during which he managed to share with me a list of his favorite stores to visit in Copenhagen.

I skimmed through the list, and my eyes stopped at one store: studio x. My day was pretty open — and I’m up to exploring new places — so I decided to check out the store.

The store was a short walk from Apotek 57 – as I stepped into the store, the first thing that caught my eye was the intricate flooring pattern! I came to learn later that the wood flooring the studio installed at the store was from my favorite Danish wood flooring vendors, Dinesen!

I then clicked out of my thoughts and moved forward. The store had a spacious layout. Even then, every corner was filled with objects and goods bound to capture one’s attention. At that time, the store was updating its winter display, and I got to witness a talented artist painting a mural on the wall. It was fun to see. I took a quick stroll and left for my next destination – antique shops.
